Hi I’m Ozlem,
I have studied Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling and in my final year of my MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s University London. I’m a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor. During my course, I have studied Psychodynamic, Existential and Humanistic psychotherapy as part of my degree and have learnt different strategies which can be used for clients with difficulties.
I work in an Integrative way, but my modality is more leaning towards Psychodynamic and Existential approaches. I do also work with clients in a creative way for them to explore their inner selves.
I have gained 2 years of experience at Littlebrook hospital working with an age range of (18-60) where I observed the client's behaviours and listened to their feelings. From this experience, I also gained excellent communication skills in dealing with clients and their families. In addition, I am applying what I have been taught from my course, skills such as excellent communication skills for dealing with patients, being a therapist, which proved to help clients in many cases to acknowledge their deeper thoughts. Through this, the application of being non-judgemental and providing a safe space offered trust and reliability.
I have worked with clients with a range of mental disorders including severe mental and spiritual distress in an organisation for Psychotherapy and Counselling. I address the problems that concern clients. I have also gained experience working within the NHS. I gained experience in working with clients with anxiety disorders and depression (including post-natal depression), bereavement, stress, life changes, relationship difficulties and loneliness. It could be emotional, work-related, family issues or health. Looking at how the individual functions in their relationships and in personal life are of great interest to me.
My sessions are 50 minutes @ £50 per session.
I offer therapy in English and Turkish.
I have therapeutic insurance.
